A local woman hopes to reach art lovers through her unique and accessible pendants and those lucky enough to find one of her hidden treasures on local beaches.
Debra Kirk-Rogers is the founder of Heart & Stones, a business that has brought her back to her artistic roots. Kirk-Rogers has always had a love for art, even earning a blue ribbon in painting at a county fair. “I spent a lot of time in the art room painting and drawing because I’m a recluse,” she said. She married at 18, and when she and her husband moved to Spokane, Kirk-Rogers took the opportunity to further her education and received a professional degree in art. After living in California, Utah and Washington, he moved to Oregon in 1993.
