Teven Jenkins and Larry Borom enjoy #1 status

Roquan Smith’s return to practice Saturday almost entirely overshadowed several Bears developments from their last game.

For one, there was safety Jaquan Brisker’s hand injury that kept him out of practice last week and could be a problem as the rookie tries to return in time for the regular season opener.

The bright side for the Bears, however, was the Teven Jenkins story. Is it possible to be a comeback player of the year based on training camp?

And then there’s the curious case of Larry Borom, seemingly destined to back up veteran Riley Reiff but suddenly playing starters against Seattle and again Saturday in practice.
